Meet Us

History of smoking/traditions

Since ancient times , smoking has been used to flavor as well as to preserve food. Poland has a famous and rich tradition in smoking food, mostly to prepare fish, meat and cheese known as traditionally as “wędzonki”.  Read on to get lowdown on one of the countrys most characteristic culinary crafts.

Polish sausages, charcuterie, fish and cheese have for generations been
roasted, smoked, stewed or fried. Meat is by far the dominant component of Polish cuisine and Polish food traditions.  Most people cannot imagine a breakfast without a slice of fragrant and juicy ham, bacon and of course the famous Polish sausage which has is known all over the world including now in Palawan.

Through time, sausages and hams, in fact all Polish charcuterie (in Polish: wędliny), was hosted on the tables of nobles, bourgeois, kings and queens as well as regular folk.

The story of Moonligt Acres Farm

The project started a few years ago after purchasing a total of 13 hectares of undeveloped land in Bahile. Initially 1.5 of those hectares was converted into a piggery and served as such for 3 years.

Finally the decision was made to move away from raising livestock and focus on developing a self sustainable, ecological friendly and organic fruit and vegetable farm.

Currently the farm is producing bananas, mushrooms as well as herbs. Our goal is to fully developed the remaining area and be organic certified in order to supply our community with fresh and healthy options delivered directly from our farm to their table
